Volunteering

Our church is a community of many people of all ages and we screen our volunteers in line with our Anglican Diocesan Safe church guidelines. These guidelines exist to protect our children, our vulnerable and our volunteers alike.

In order to join in and volunteer at the church, the following checks need to be completed and a copy of the forms e-mailed to the office. To volunteer, you need:

• a working with children check
• a police check
• to complete our 'Safe Ministry Check' form
  • The form people between 13 and 17 years old
  • The form for people over the age of 18 years
• to read our Code of Conduct: faithfullness in service and sign the agreementto complete a safe church training workshop, within 3 months of starting the screening process. The workshop is available as an online course, and there are also in-person workshops running in various locations in our Diocese about 6 times a year.
  • You then need to complete a safe church refresher workshop every 3 years
  • for reimbursement, please follow these instructions and use the e-mail annetteh@gippsanglican.org.au for invoicing.
